Collaborative VI: Renewable Energy Products Database: Paving the Way for Deployment of Renewable Energy

Welcome to the APEC Renewable Energy Products Database!

A significant barrier to successful transactions of renewable energy products is lack of information. With the objective to promote an increase in trade of renewable energy products in the APEC region, the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Expert Group on New and Renewable Energy Technologies (EGNRET) initiated a project called the APEC 21st Century Renewable Energy Development Initiative (Collaborative VI) Renewable Energy Products Database: Paving the Way for Deployment of Renewable Energy. The EGNRET is one of five "technical expert groups" that operate under the guidance of the APEC Energy Working Group (EWG).

The project has developed a database of applied renewable energy products from APEC economies that will be an information source for consumers who are looking for renewable energy products that provide a specific energy service. The database has been designed to make it easy for consumers to find specific renewable energy product information and to compare renewable energy products from different companies and in different economies. Each product in the database is listed in the same format to make the information consistent so consumers can compare products available throughout the APEC region concurrently. This database will continue to be updated with additional renewable energy products and companies.

This project is overseen by Thailand’s Energy Policy and Planning Office, Ministry of Energy.
